People generally worry about safety of their house when they go out locking it. However, safety is important inside house also and this aspect should not be lost sight of.

Safety in the house is important in a house hold with pets and kids. Gates are usually installed to protect them. Gates have a great variety to choose from and you install them as per the requirement of a particular place.

Pressure mounting gates are generally used particularly as hallway partition and also in rooms if a division is needed. Commonly used at the foot of the stair case, they are not safe at the top. Being pressure mounted, they can give way if subjected to strong force.

The most ideal type of the gate is hinged one fixed to the wall firmly with screws. Such a gate is quite safe at the staircase top.

Households, which are liable to be shifted from place to place, may go in for the stand-alone type. This gate can be easily mounted at any place in the house and shifted as per your requirement. The gate is mounted on rubber suction pads, and the gate structure is quite stable apart from ease of fixing, keeping it in storage is also easy.

Indoor gates generally are required for the protection of pets and babies. For pets there are special types of gates are a little different from others. It is better to use special gates for pets.

Like all structures gates are also made of plastic, metal and wooden materials. Plastics are the least preferred because they are brittle and sometimes fragile, but they cost less. Gates made of either wood or metal are the people's choice because they are hardy and durable.

The gate size, for protecting pets will depend on the height of the pet and their capability to scale over the gate. The height of the gate is decided depending on pet size. The objective of protection is achieved.
